An Open MRI scanner is designed to feel more spacious and comfortable than a traditional tunnel-style scanner. This can be particularly helpful for people who feel claustrophobic, are anxious about scans, or find enclosed spaces uncomfortable.
Most MRI scans take around 30 minutes, although the exact duration depends on the body part being scanned and the information required.

Before your scan, you’ll complete a safety questionnaire to identify any implants, medical devices, previous surgeries, or other factors that may affect your scan. These checks are repeated before entering the scanner to ensure your safety.
Many implants are MRI-compatible, but this depends on the type of implant and when it was fitted. Our team will review this during your MRI safety screening and advise whether it is safe to proceed.
You’ll receive secure online access to your images and results, which can be shared with your GP, consultant, physiotherapist, or other healthcare professional.
Unlike many standalone imaging providers, we offer more than just a scan. Alongside specialist MRI reporting, our Advanced Practice Physiotherapists and Sport & Exercise Medicine Doctors can help you understand your results and guide your next steps—all under one roof.
